Open Source & Third-Party Notices
This page is the current compliance base. The final shipped notice will contain only components confirmed in the exact distributed build.
Kingdom 1.1.4 pre-release: conditional components and exact license files remain subject to verification against the final distribution. This page is not its final release-specific license pack. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
General notice
Kingdom’s original application code and branding are proprietary unless expressly stated otherwise.
Kingdom includes or may distribute third-party software. Those components remain governed by their respective licenses. Nothing in the Kingdom proprietary license limits rights granted directly by those third-party licenses.
The final notice shipped with Kingdom must contain only components actually present in the final distributed payload.
Expected core components
Qt, PySide6 and Shiboken6
Kingdom uses Qt for Python 6.11.2, including PySide6 and Shiboken6, and selected Qt 6.11.2 shared libraries and plugins.
The applicable open-source distribution path is based on GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 components and any directly applicable GNU General Public License version 3 terms. Copies of LGPLv3 and GPLv3 must be included with the application.
Corresponding source code and the materials needed to exercise the applicable LGPL rights will be made available as described on the Source Availability page.
The final build must preserve the practical ability to replace or relink covered shared libraries. Any proprietary license must not prohibit reverse engineering or debugging performed solely to exercise rights granted by the applicable LGPL.
Python
Kingdom includes CPython 3.14.4. CPython is distributed under the Python Software Foundation License Version 2 and related historical licenses contained in the exact CPython 3.14.4 LICENSE file.
The CPython license file also records notices for incorporated third-party components. The exact file from CPython 3.14.4 must be preserved rather than reconstructed from a later Python release.
psutil
Kingdom includes psutil 7.2.2, distributed under the BSD 3-Clause License.
Copyright (c) 2009, Giampaolo Rodola. The exact license shipped with psutil 7.2.2 must be included.
7-Zip
Kingdom includes the 7-Zip 26.03 command-line archive engine and its required DLL. The original file tools/7zip/License.txt must remain present, unchanged and distributed with the component.
7-Zip contains code under LGPL version 2.1 or later and additional components under the terms stated in its own License.txt, including applicable unRAR restrictions and BSD-licensed portions. The bundled License.txt is authoritative for this binary distribution.
Fugaz One font
Kingdom includes the Fugaz One font, version 1.002, distributed under the SIL Open Font License version 1.1.
Copyright 2011 The Fugaz One Project Authors / LatinoType Limitada, as identified by the authoritative font license and metadata. Reserved Font Name: Fugaz One.
The font is understood to be unmodified. This must be reconfirmed before release. Any modified derivative must comply with the Reserved Font Name requirements.
PyInstaller runtime
The reviewed executable was produced with PyInstaller 6.22.2. PyInstaller is licensed under GPL version 2 or later with a special exception that permits distribution of generated executables under the application’s chosen license, subject to the licenses of bundled dependencies.
PyInstaller does not impose a general requirement that generated applications be released under the GPL. Its runtime provenance should nevertheless be recorded, and its exact COPYING file may be included for transparency.
Microsoft Visual C++ runtime
The audited package contains Microsoft Visual C++ runtime files. Their redistribution is governed by the applicable Microsoft Visual Studio licensing and redistribution terms. They must originate from a properly licensed redistributable source and remain unmodified.
No replacement public license notice should be invented. Provenance and redistribution evidence must be retained internally.
Build-dependent components
The following findings are conditional and must not be treated as final until the release payload is reconciled:
OpenSSL
The audited runtime includes OpenSSL 3.0.19. OpenSSL 3.0.19 is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. The exact OpenSSL license and the complete Apache License 2.0 text must be included if the component remains in the final payload.
libffi
The audited CPython Windows runtime includes libffi-8.dll. The official CPython 3.14.4 Windows SBOM associates this dependency with libffi 3.4.4.
The exact binary origin and version remain subject to verification against the final distribution. If confirmed, the exact libffi 3.4.4 permissive license must accompany it.
Qt third-party components
Qt modules incorporate third-party software under multiple permissive and open-source licenses. The final release must include the exact Qt 6.11.2 notices generated from the modules actually distributed.
Optional Qt Network, OpenGL, PDF, QML, Quick, SVG, image-format, translation, renderer and plugin components remain build-dependent until the final payload audit.
Excluded component
Qt Virtual Keyboard
Qt Virtual Keyboard is excluded from Kingdom’s proprietary/LGPL distribution and must not be distributed.
No Virtual Keyboard source archive, download or final attribution is offered here. Its absence remains subject to verification against the final distribution.
