Kingdom
Open-Source Source Availability
Kingdom distributes certain open-source components. Corresponding source and compliance materials for distributed versions will be made available on this page.
Kingdom 1.1.4 pre-release: its final source archive, SHA-256, component manifest, license pack and building/relinking instructions are not yet available. No download is offered for those materials. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
Covered components
Kingdom is expected to include selected dynamically linked components from Qt and Qt for Python distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3.
The final covered set will be determined from the exact distributed build. Components absent from that build will not be represented as shipped components.
Materials that will be provided
For each verified Kingdom distribution requiring corresponding source, the release-specific package will contain, as applicable:
- the exact Qt for Python source archive matching the distributed version;
- the exact Qt module source archives corresponding to libraries, plugins and QML modules actually shipped;
- source code for applicable third-party components where required by their licenses;
- a component manifest and verified checksums;
- applicable patches or an evidence-based statement that no patches were applied;
- building and relinking information reasonably required to rebuild or replace covered shared components;
- relevant dependency versions, wheel hashes and deployment inputs;
- copies of applicable GPL and LGPL license texts.
Release-specific fields
Scope and rights
The future source package will not grant rights over Kingdom’s proprietary application code except where a third-party license expressly requires otherwise.
The exact source and supporting materials will be made available without charge at the publication location established for the corresponding distributed Kingdom version.
The availability location and retention period will be maintained as an operational compliance commitment. As a conservative publication policy, the source package should remain available for at least three years after the final distribution of the corresponding Kingdom version, without presenting that period as the only possible legal compliance method.
Exclusions and verification
Qt Virtual Keyboard is excluded from Kingdom’s proprietary/LGPL distribution. Its source archive will not be offered as though it were a distributed component.
The final package must be reconciled against the Store-ready payload, must use exact module archives rather than an unrelated generic source link, and must record modifications or patches accurately.
