Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Kingdom is a desktop application published under the public publisher name “PinguSama_Side” and identified in the application as “Kingdom by PinguSama”.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how the Kingdom desktop application handles information when installed and used on a Windows device.

It applies to Kingdom itself. Games, installers, uninstallers, update programs, web browsers, websites and other software opened by the user are separate products and may operate under their own privacy policies.

3. Information accessed or processed locally

Depending on the features used, Kingdom may access or process locally:

• paths and names of games, installation folders and executable files;
• locally stored game metadata, covers and configuration information;
• information about local processes, including process identifiers and executable paths, when required to detect or monitor launched games;
• locally calculated playtime information;
• save-game folders, backups and restoration data selected or detected by the application;
• local Windows Registry information used to locate supported software or folders;
• files and folders inspected while searching for repacks or updates;
• local update packages and updater executables selected by the user;
• configuration and state required to remember application settings.

This processing is performed to provide Kingdom’s local library, installation, launch, playtime, save-management and update-management features.

4. Network communication and data transmission

The static audit of the reviewed Kingdom release did not identify:

• a Kingdom or PinguSama online account system;
• analytics or behavioural telemetry;
• advertising tracking;
• remote crash reporting;
• upload of game paths, file names, playtime or save-game data;
• a Kingdom-operated API or server;
• direct HTTP or HTTPS requests performed by Kingdom;
• automatic downloading of games or updates by Kingdom.

Kingdom may open the user’s default browser, following an explicit user action, to visit https://pingusama.itch.io/kingdom-library.

The browser and the destination website may process information under their own privacy policies. Kingdom does not control that independent processing.

Kingdom may also launch games, installers, uninstallers and update programs. Those external programs may communicate over the network or process information independently. Their behaviour is not controlled by Kingdom and is outside the scope of this policy.

5. Storage

Kingdom’s configuration, metadata, playtime records and other local state are stored on the user’s device.

Games, update archives, save backups and related files remain in folders selected, configured or otherwise used locally by the user.

Exact storage paths may differ according to the Kingdom version, configuration and folders chosen by the user. No fixed future storage path is promised by this policy.

6. Retention

Local information remains on the device until it is changed or removed through Kingdom, removed manually by the user, removed by uninstalling relevant software, or deleted as part of normal file management.

Because the audited version does not transmit this information to a Kingdom-operated service, PinguSama does not maintain a corresponding remote retention period for it.

Uninstalling Kingdom may not remove games, installers, update archives, save backups or other files stored outside Kingdom’s own application data.

7. User choices and controls

Users can:

• choose whether to use features that inspect or manage local content;
• select relevant game, installation, update and save folders;
• remove or reset supported Kingdom entries where the application provides those controls;
• close Kingdom and manage remaining local files using Windows tools;
• choose whether to open external websites or launch external programs.

Removal instructions and storage locations depend on the application version. Details for the upcoming Kingdom 1.1.4 release remain subject to verification against that release.

8. Sharing and disclosure

The reviewed release does not include a feature designed to transmit the locally processed information described above to PinguSama or to sell it to third parties.

Information may nevertheless be handled independently by Windows, the user’s browser, websites, games, installers, updaters or other external software launched or used by the user.

9. Security

Kingdom relies on the security controls of the Windows operating system, the local filesystem and the user’s device.

No claim is made that every local Kingdom file is encrypted. Users should protect their Windows account, device and backups appropriately.

10. Children

Kingdom is not designed to create user accounts or intentionally collect personal information from children through a Kingdom-operated online service.

External games and websites may have their own age requirements and privacy practices.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if Kingdom’s functionality, data handling, distribution model or legal obligations change.

The “Last updated” date will identify the current published version.
